Internet Tool Review

Teacher Tube (https://www.teachertube.com/) was an idea that Adam and Jason, an educator, had to help teachers, students, and schools with read/write web for learning. The goal was to provide a safe venue for teachers, school, and home learners for sharing instructional videos. Teachers can post videos on concepts or skills that students will be able to view and learn from. I’ve reviewed a couple of those videos on math skills for upper elementary which will be useful for my students since they are learning fractions. The instructor was easy to understand and provided a visual that my  students can easily comprehend and take notes from.
Contents from Teacher Tube can be linked to Google Classroom as well as other websites. Teacher Tube is an excellent resource when developing lesson for your students. If other sites allow, videos from those sites may also be linked. Teacher Tube offers helpful instructions and answers for your use when you decide. If at any point the user discovers inappropriate material, they have the ability to flag it and inform the site. Those videos will subsequently be removed by the Teacher Tube staff.

Google Classroom (https://classroom.google.com) is free and was developed with the idea of having a venue for teachers and students to share files. The students will be able to submit their assignments and the teacher can provide immediate feedback.
When grading a student’s assignment, teachers have several options. They attach files to assignments that the student can view, edit, and get a copy of. The students can turn in assignments to be graded, and the teacher in turn can return assignments with comments so students may make revisions before resubmitting.
A great feature Google Classroom has to offer, is the ability to archive courses when completed. The teacher will be able to restore these courses when needed in the future without having to reinvent the wheel, so to speak.

Prezi  (http://prezi.com/) – Navigating through the site is simple. Prezi is a cloud-based presentation software. There are tutorials provided for each section you would like to explore. The colors are so vibrant and inviting which I hope my students will feel the same about. I hope that it would be a motivator for them to be creative in their presentation.   Prezi allows you to be creative in your presentations, rather than just the usual slide show. It allows you to animate your presentations making it more interesting and pleasing to the eyes. It provides you with a step by step tutorial on how to provide a structured presentation. Should you have questions, Prezi also avails you with support.
